Tamara Berndt
Owner, designer
I'm Tamara! I was born on the cusp of Scorpio/Sagittarius and am a Seattle, Washington native. I've never lived too far from home and love it here. I graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Economics but I have always had an appreciation for design and crafts. It’s no surprise I ended up as a creative entrepreneur.
At the age of 9, I made beaded bracelets and necklaces to sell at my parents’ jewelry stand at local gem shows. I kept crafting as I grew up, and when I was expecting my third child, round nursery name signs were trending. I knew I had to try my hand at making one for the new baby. That led me to scrollsawing and woodworking, and I found a passion in creating custom signs.
Name signs turned into requests for business signs, which turned into requests for event signs—which turned into On The Wall Design Studio. Today, we’re a Seattle-based studio that creates bespoke displays and installations for all different types of events. We look forward to working with you!
Ryan Berndt
Owner, Production Manager
I'm Ryan Berndt, co-owner of On The Wall Design Studio. My journey began with five proud years of service in the Navy, which fueled my aspiration to build my own business. After my time in the military, I dedicated 15 years to my career as a union carpenter, honing my skills and passion for craftsmanship.
Together with my wife, Tamara, we launched On The Wall Design Studio from our garage. I was the crazy neighbor building props under a tent in the rain at 9:00pm at night after a long day at work. Our hard work has since led us to expand into a fully equipped shop, allowing us to bring your visions to life.
What makes this journey truly special is the opportunity to work alongside my wife and family, turning our dreams into reality. We invite you to explore our work and share in our passion for design and craftsmanship.
